Ben Wilson got his start in Data Science over a decade ago, using data to automate away the boring parts of his job as a Process Engineer. He's worked as a Nuclear Electrical Technician, a tugboat driver, a military communications officer, a Bluray Process Development Engineer, an MOCVD LED Process Engineer, a Semiconductor Yield Analysis Engineer, a Lead Data Scientist for an e-commerce company, and, currently works as a Principal Resident Solutions Architect at Databricks.
He's the author of the Manning book Machine Learning Engineering in Action, a tome focused on building maintainable ML solutions in industry. He's the creator of the Databricks Labs AutoML toolkit, an open-source white-box ML pipeline creation tool for SparkML. He's a big fan of turtles.
